Carmi Police Respond To Domestic Dispute Monday Morning; A Traffic Stop And Warrant Arrest Monday Evening

31 year old Kevin Michael Rector is lodged in the White County Jail this morning (Tuesday) following a domestic dispute with his mother Monday morning. Carmi Police were called to 1016 E. Main Street around 8:50 Monday morning in reference to a verbal and physical fight in progress. Upon the officers’ arrival, the parties had separated. Kevin Rector was arrested without incident for Domestic Battery after his mother, Tamera Rector, told officers the two had initially gotten into a verbal argument that escalated with Kevin grabbing his mother’s neck and shoving her to the ground in an attempt to get her cell phone after she informed him she was calling the police. This is not the first misdemeanor domestic battery charge for Rector. Online court records show previous charges including a felony charge for Aggravated Battery which resulted in a 5 year Department of Corrections sentence back in 2011. Records do not indicate a court date as of yet on the new charge.

A 26 year old Carmi woman is being held in the White County Jail following a traffic stop Monday evening. Ashley L. Ricketts of 226 Steven Street was stopped by Carmi Police around 9:16 Monday night. She was transported to the White County Jail on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. Ricketts has been arrested several times before on the same charge.

Andrea L. Stocke, 43, of Enfield was arrested after turning herself in at the Carmi Police Department Monday evening on a warrant for Violation of an Order of Protection. Stocke bonded out on $500 cash bail.
