Carmi Police made a pair of DUI arrests on Monday night.
At 6pm, officers pulled over 32 year old Nicholas Jennings of Carmi at the intersection of Plum and Kerney Streets for a traffic light violation, and smelled alcohol on his breath. Jennings was charged with DUI of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and a traffic signal violation. He was transported to the White County Jail and was later released after posting a $100 bond.
Just after 10 pm, officers pulled over a vehicle driven by 41 year old James Bowman, who has listed addresses in Crossville and Brunswick, Ohio at the intersection of Main and Jessup Streets. Bowman was charged with DUI of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and no valid driver’s license. Bowman was transported to the White County Jail and was later released after posting a $300 bond.
