A Crossville man in court Thursday afternoon was arrested by Carmi Police due to a warrant on another case. 47-year-old Danny Stephens was in White County court for a hearing on an unrelated matter when officers were alerted to Stephens’ presence. Authorities responded to the courthouse and took Stephens into custody on a White County warrant for Burglary. Stephens was additionally detained on a violation of his pre-trial conditions. Stephens will next be due in court on August 24th.
Thursday evening, Carmi Police pulled over 40-year-old Levi Browning of Carmi on Oak at Sixth Street. It
was just before 11pm when officers pulled him over for Driving while License Suspended and also found him in possession of cannabis, leading to an additional citation. Browning was cuffed, taken to the jail, processed, and released with citations along with a court date of September 8th.
