Carmi Police make multiple arrests on Wednesday

25 year old Sarah Martin of Grayville surrendered herself on a White County warrant and an Edwards County warrant at the Carmi Police Department on Wednesday morning. Martin was taken into custody at 10am and transferred to the White County Jail, where she was released after posting a $100 bond on the White County warrant and a $1000 bond on the Edwards County charge.

 

30 year old Levi Browning of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police after a traffic stop on Sixth Street. Browning was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license at 11:20am Wednesday and released after posting a $150 bond.

Carmi Police arrested 40 year old Philip Sandusky at his residence on Smith Drive on a White County warrant and following a search, was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of hypodermic syringes, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Sandusky was transported to the White County Jail at 1:47pm, where he is being held without bail pending a court hearing.

 

37 year old Kristal McWhirter of Carmi was arrested at her Stewart Street residence at 3:16 pm Wednesday on a White County warrant.  McWhirter was transported to the White County Jail and was released after posting a $500 bond.

 

After receiving a call about a possible domestic dispute, Carmi Police arrested 28 year old James Tyner at his Seventh Street residence on a charge of disorderly conduct.   Tyner was taken into custody at 6:11pm and was released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
