
Early this (Monday) morning, Carmi Police pulled over 64-year-old Jeff Nelson of Crossville. It happened just after 12:30am on Main at College. Nelson was found to be Driving while License Suspended and following an investigation, he also picked up charges of DUI of Alcohol, DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Driver. His vehicle was towed from the scene by Cherry Street Towing and Nelson was jailed.
Late Sunday evening, Carmi Police stopped 35-year-old Kenneth Renshaw of Brooks Drive on Lagoon

at 12th Street. He was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving while License Suspended. That arrest happened just after 10pm.

At a quarter after 4pm Sunday, Carmi Police picked up 38-year-old Dustin Bell of Carmi at his Olive Street home. Bell was paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections on July 23rd of this year. He was arrested on an IDOC warrant and remains behind bars at the White County Jail as of Monday morning.
