Carmi Police made an arrest Sunday afternoon picking up 45-year-old Billy Miller of New Haven during a traffic stop. Just before 4pm, an officer pulled over Miller at Vibracoustic; he was subsequently arrested on a Posey County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana. The warrant carried a 500 mile extradition radius, however Miller would bond out to $2,000 plus a booking fee just before 7pm.
A Normal, Illinois woman was arrested in the early morning hours Friday at Hucks. Carmi Police arrested 48-year-old Michelle Montgomery just before 4am on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Use of Property. Montgomery spent the weekend behind bars and is due in court Monday morning.
