A Mount Carmel woman is out on pretrial release following her arrest in Carmi overnight. Carmi Police say they pulled over 38-year-old Julie Smith near Bradford Supply on Main Street just before 11:30pm due to her Cadillac having only one tail light. She was subsequently arrested on a charge of Driving while License Suspended. Smith was booked and released from the White County Jail just before 1am. Smith will be due in White County Court on August 18th. S&E Auto was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene.
59-year-old Stacey Woolsey is out after once again landing behind bars. Carmi Police say they arrested the Carmi man at his home Monday
about 6:30pm on a White County warrant for Aggravated DUI. Woolsey was arrested on June 21st on a separate DUI charge. According to the report, he was booked and released within about 15 minutes Monday evening.
