Carmi Man Sentenced To Illinois Department Of Corrections Monday

A 38 year old Carmi man will be spending some time behind prison bars. Jason A. Locke was sentenced Monday morning in White County Court to the Illinois Department of Corrections, a 3 year sentence in the Department of Corrections followed by 1 year of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 3 felony charge of Aggravated battery and a 3 year sentence in the Department of Corrections followed by 4 years of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 4 felony charge of Domestic Battery. Locke was on probation for Domestic Battery when he committed the Aggravated Battery. His probation was therefore revoked with the new sentence Monday. Locke’s case was investigated by the Carmi Police Department.
