Carmi man arrested on battery, drug, and weapon charges Tuesday

Carmi Police arrested 40 year old Donald Davis of Carmi following a 911 call about a domestic battery in progress at his residence on Saunders Avenue Tuesday morning. Davis was arrested at 8:44 am and transported to the White County Jail.  Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence, which was executed at noon.

Inside, officers discovered drugs and weapons, leading to additional charges against Davis.  In addition to the aggravated domestic battery charge, Davis was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance – LSD, possession of a controlled substance – steroids, three counts of unlawful use of weapons by a felon for a firearm, ammunition, and brass knuckles, and possession of cannabis.

Davis was held without bond pending a court hearing.
