The Carmi City Council breezed through the agenda at their first meeting of March Tuesday night.
Following approval of the February 21st meeting minutes, the Council approved rescheduling the April 4th meeting to Monday, April 3rd to avoid a conflict with Election Day. In the Mayor’s report, Mayor Jeff Pollard told the Council that the night drop for utility customers is broken, and that a replacement has been ordered. It should be installed in the next few weeks. The City of Carmi will hold an electronics recycling event April 1st from 9am to 1 pm at the Newton Wire and Cable building on 3rd Street, and that the Southern Illinois Archery Club will be holding an ASA Tri-State Qualifier match at Burrell’s Woods March 18th and 19th.
