The Carmi Chamber of Commerce announced today that Tabitha Mick is the recipient of the 2016 Carmi Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. The scholarship is worth a total $4000, paid over a four year period, and was awarded by Chamber President Andy Acord during Awards Day.
Tabitha has been involved in Book Club, Key Club, Student Council, Band, Singing Six, Math Team, Bulldog Barks, Science Club, STEM Club, Thespian Club, Drama Club, Maroon Platoon, WYSE Team among other organizations. She will attend Austin Peay State University this fall to major in English.
Carmi Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Holly Healy noted, “We wish Tabitha well in her future endeavors and look forward to hearing of her success.”
The Carmi Chamber of Commerce scholarship is funded by the annual Golf Outing. This year’s outing, brought in part by Gold Sponsors First Bank and People’s National Bank will be held June 25 at the Carmi County Club.
