Busy Weekend for Carmi Police

It was a busy weekend for Carmi Police who made several arrests from Friday through Sunday.

Friday evening around 4:30, a Carmi resident, 39 year old Michael P. Barkley of 1704 W. Oak Street turned himself in on a warrant out of Franklin County, Ill for failure to appear on a charge of a violation of an order. Barkley posted $500 cash bond, plus $20 booking fee and a $75 failure to appear fee and was released from custody.

Two people were arrested Saturday morning following an alleged domestic dispute.

Lindsay J. West, 33, whose address was listed as Knoxville, Tenn., was arrested and charged with domestic battery. Donald E. Stover, 43, Carmi, was also arrested in that incident. Stover was charged with obstructing justice and resisting/obstructing a peace officer following the 911 cal to 403 E. Cherry Street; Stover’s listed address. Bail was not set and both remained in custody over the weekend.

Sunday morning around 1:30, 48 year old Patricia G Eason of 117 Neeley Court, Carmi was arrested on a charge of drug paraphernalia.
