
The Carmi-White County Baseball team defeated Gallatin County on the road Monday afternoon by a final score of 4-3.
The game was tied at 1-1 heading into the 4th inning when the Bulldogs scored 3 runs on RBIs by Hayden Sauls, Jaxon Bradshaw, and Tyson Spicer to give Carmi a 4-1 lead.
Gallatin scored 2 in the 6th but the Bulldogs shut the door in the 7th to hang on for the 4-3 victory.
Mitchel Edwards picked up the win on the mound, giving up just 1 run on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts in 4 innings of work. Jaxon Bradshaw pitched the final 3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 2 hits with 5 strikeouts.
At the plate,
Gavin Holloman went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Tyson Spicer went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Hayden Sauls went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Maxon O’Daniel went 1-for-2.
Merick Millhorn went 1-for-3.
Cade Allen went 1-for-4.
Jaxon Bradshaw went 0-for-2 with an RBI.
The Bulldogs end their 3-game losing streak as they are now 3-3 on the season.
They will be back in action today as they travel to Hardin County.
