Apr. 18 – 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification classes will be held at SIC’s Harrisburg Campus in room T220. This one-day, 4-hour class is open to the public and cover CPR training. Participants will complete a 25-question exam and receive a certification card. Apr. 21 – 6 p.m. –The SIC Board of Trustees meeting will be held in the Heritage Room.
Apr. 23 – 2:30 p.m. – The Illinois Small Business Development Center will host a Grant Writing training at SIC’s Carmi location in partnership with the Carmi Chamber of Commerce. To register, email [email protected].
Apr. 23 – 3 p.m. – The SIC Falcons baseball team host Southwestern Illinois College at Falcon Field.
Apr. 24 & 25 – 7 p.m.; Apr. 26 – 2 p.m. – The SIC Theatre presents “Godspell” at SIC’s George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Theatre. Apr. 24 – 6 p.m. – The SIC Esports team will host a recruitment event in the Esports Arena (room B130). Prospective students are invited to meet the team and coaches and participate in gameplay for Call of Duty and Super Smash Bros. Apr. 28 – 10 a.m.-1 p.m. – An University of Southern Indiana representative will be available in the A/B Lobby at SIC to meet with students planning to transfer to there.
Apr. 28 – The SIC Community Chorus presents “Let Freedom Sing” in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Lobby. This event is free to the public.
Apr. 29 – 9 a.m.-1 p.m. – A SIU-C representative will be available in the A/B Lobby at SIC to meet with students planning to transfer to there.
Apr. 29 – 1-4 p.m. – SIC’s Carmi Center will host a Bob Ross-inspired painting class under the guidance of instructor, Brad Mullings. You’ll learn new techniques and take home your work the same day. No experience required. This class is perfect for beginners aged 18 and up. Space is limited. Register in person at SIC’s Carmi Center. $15 for the class plus $40 for your supplies directly to the instructor.
May 1 – 2 p.m. – The SIC Falcons baseball team host Lincoln Trail College at Falcon Field. This is the team’s last home game of the season.
May 2 – 7-11 a.m. – SAT testing will be held in the Learning Lab (A145) at SIC. Students can register at www.satsuite.collegeboard.org and access study guides and practice materials on the ACT website. May 2 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – The ServSafe Food Manager Course for food service sanitation certification or recertification will be held on SIC’s Harrisburg campus in room G116. This course is completed in one day. The in-district cost is $121 and includes the exam given during the class. To register, call 618-252-5400 ext. 4120.
May 3 – 2 p.m. – SIC Children’s Choir and SIC’s Studio618 Dance School present ”Enchanted Melodies and Movements” Spring Concert and Dance Recital. There will be a suggested $5 donation at the door to attend. For more info, visit sic.edu/kids or email [email protected].
May 6 – 7 p.m. – The Concert Choirs of Southeastern Illinois College and Rend Lake College join together once again along with the SIC Community Band for their 2025 Spring Concert “Chiarascuro” at the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center. Free admission. The choirs will perform a second show the previous night, May 5 at 7 p.m. at Rend Lake College.
