Sept. 12, 8 a.m. – SIC will offer Light & Fight, a free, hands-on essential skills training class for current firefighters, at the Chuck Hearn Outdoor Education Complex. Sept. 14, 8:30 a.m. – The Commemorate Regional Artists Exhibition opens at the Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art at SIC. Celebrating the museum’s seventh anniversary, the free exhibition features artwork by regional artists and will remain on display through Dec. 4. Participants will learn about common security risks, safe online practices and ways to protect personal and workplace information. Sept. 26 – SIC Men’s Basketball will host two camps at Deaton Gym. A Skills Camp for boys and girls in grades 3–8 will run from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., followed by an Elite Camp for high school boys from 1:30–5:30 p.m. The cost is $75 per camp and includes a T-shirt. To register, email [email protected].
