Jun 10, 17 & 24 – 6:30-7:30 p.m. – “Let’s Talk White County History” will be held at SIC’s David L. Stanley White County Center in Carmi. Local historian Barry Cleveland will lead a three-part series exploring the history, people, and events that shaped White County, Illinois. Cost is $15 and includes all three sessions. Jun 13 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – The ServSafe Food Manager Course for food service sanitation certification or recertification will be held on SIC’s Harrisburg campus in room G116. June 15 – Deadline for entries for the “Living the Dream” patriotic art exhibition at the Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art at Southeastern Illinois College. Artists with a connection to the region may submit up to three original works celebrating patriotism, service, sacrifice, American history, and related themes.
