Carmi Police make four arrests over holiday weekend

Carmi Police arrested 38 year old Deanna Wright of New Haven after being called to the Dollar General on Thursday night with a report of retail theft.  Wright was taken into custody at 7:13 pm and was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Wright is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.

37 year old Rebecca Cartmill of Carmi was arrested at the Dollar General on Friday afternoon for shoplifting by Carmi Police.  Cartmill was taken into custody at 1:56 pm and transported to the White County Jail.  She was later released after posting a $150 bond.

Early Monday morning, Carmi Police were called to a fight in progress at 701 Maple Street.  At 12:36 am, officers arrested 23 year old Elizabeth Bailey and 19 year old Neola Wilson and charged each with domestic battery.  In addition, Wilson was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.  Both Bailey and Wilson are being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
