Friday afternoon, Carmi Police made two arrests at the Subway parking lot.

The driver of the traffic stop, Clarksville, Tennessee native Scott Street, was placed in handcuffs for Driving on a Suspended License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle, Operation of an Uninsured Vehicle, and Improper Turn Signal.

Harrisburg resident Charles Cissna was arrested on multiple charges. Cissna is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams, Unlawful Use of Property, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle. Not only are these charges under Cissna’s name, but police were also provided with a Vanderburgh County warrant for him for the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
Both men were released Monday morning after their court appearance, with Cissna extradited to Vanderburgh County. A Preliminary hearing was set for each man; Street’s was set for November 4 at 1 pm, and Cissna’s for November 2 at 10 am.
Carmi Police made two other arrests over the weekend.

The arrest reports don’t give details, but Saturday night, just before 9:30 pm, 34-year-old Alyssa Hunsinger was arrested for Domestic Battery. Hunsinger will be due back in court for her Arraignment hearing on November 9 at 9:30 am.

And an hour later, 18-year-old Pixi Hout was arrested on a Battery charge at the Stewart Street apartments. Hout will have an Arraignment hearing on November 9 at 9:30 am. She was released from the White County Jail.
