The Carmi-White County Football team defeated Sesser-Valier on Friday night by a final score of 26-0.
The Bulldogs were led on offense by Cooper Hill who rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown, and Jazz Duckworth who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown. Dakota Brown and Lex Day connected for their second touchdown throw and catch of the season, and Branson Burnett ran in his third touchdown of the year.
The Bulldog defense held Sesser to just 107 total yards of offense as Carmi pitched their first shutout since October 1, 2021.
Carmi-White County improves to 2-4 on the season, they will host CZRE this Friday for Homecoming.

The Carmi-White County Volleyball team went 2-0 in the triangular match at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium on Saturday, defeating Woodlawn 25-12 & 25-12, and defeating Robinson 25-17 & 25-13.
The Lady Bulldogs improve their record to 19-6 on the season. They will host Wayne City tonight at home before traveling to Fairfield tomorrow.

The Carmi-White County Jr. High Softball team defeated Mt. Carmel in the SIJHSAA Regional Championship game on Saturday by a final score of 10-5.
The Lady Bullpups trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the 4th inning, but Carmi scored five in the 4th, three in the 5th, and two in the 6th to come back and win their second regional title in three years.
Carmi will face Harrisburg on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the SIJHSAA State Tournament. If Carmi wins on Saturday they will face either Salem of West Frankfort in the semifinals next Tuesday.
The Carmi-White County Jr. Pro Football teams traveled to Fairfield on Saturday for their final games of the regular season.
The 7th & 8th Grade Bulldogs won by a final score of 46-28. They finish the season with a 4-3 record.
The 5th & 6th Grade Bulldogs won by a final score of 20-0. They will face Johnston City in the Black Diamond Conference 3rd Place Game on Saturday in Albion at 1:30 PM.
