45-year-old Tabitha Swango of Carmi is behind bars Wednesday morning following her arrest Tuesday afternoon. At about a quarter after 1, officers arrested Swango at a residence down the street from her listed address on a body attachment warrant. The warrant listed in the report is related to an ordinance violation that dates back to October of 2022 for Illegal Burning. In May of this year, a judge issued a default judgement and ordered Swango to pay a fine.
