Carmi Police arrested a pair Sunday morning. Authorities say they pulled over a black Ford Focus just after 10am on County Road 1500 North. The driver, 58-year-old Michael Vaughn of Fairfield was placed under arrest on charges of Driving While License Revoked, Possession of Meth, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by Driver. Vaughn also received citations for not wearing a seat belt, no front license plate, and no insurance. Vaughn’s passenger, 54-year-old Tammy Kuhlig of Dix had a Failure to Appear warrant related to a Possession of Meth charge from earlier this year. The report indicates Kuhlig also had local charges of Possession of Meth, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Vaughn and Kuhlig are both due in White County court Monday morning.
