The Carmi-White County Volleyball team defeated Flora last night in two sets; 25-14 & 25-18.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 8-2 on the year and 1-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. Carmi will begin play in the NCOE Tournament this afternoon as they will play Herrin at 4:00 PM. The Lady Bulldogs will then play Grayville around 6:00 PM.
Carmi will then wrap up the tournament tomorrow night, they will either play for Gold, Bronze, or Silver based on if they win their matches tonight.
The Lady Bulldogs will then travel to the Benton Tournament on Saturday, where they will look to win the tournament championship for the 4th straight year.
The Carmi-White County Boys & Girls Golf teams hosted Flora & Wayne City at the Carmi Country Club yesterday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs finished in 1st Place with a team score of 211.
Bri Hale and Sophia McCully tied for 2nd Place with a 51.
Katelyn Davis finished in 5th Place with a 53.
Eva Grogan and Makenlee Holloman tied for 7th Place with a 56.
Emma Legg shot a 67.
The Bulldogs finished in 2nd Place behind Wayne City with a team score of 184.
Banks Moore placed 2nd with a 41.
Alex Hale placed 7th with a 47.
Cayden Holloman and Jude Pollard tied for 9th with a 48.
Kyson Clark shot a 49.
Rowdy Hall shot a 51.
The Bulldogs will host NCOE, Mt. Carmel, and Fairfield tomorrow at the Carmi Country Club, and the Lady Bulldogs will host NCOE, Mt. Carmel, and Eldorado.
The Carmi-White County Cross Country team ran at Hamilton County yesterday.
Andrew Benham finished in 1st Place in the Varsity Run.
Gwen Headlee placed 3rd.
Julianna Bolerjack placed 10th.
Niah Haley placed 14th.
Jeffrey Barbre placed 2nd in the JV run.
Kruze Brown placed 4th in the JV run.
The Cross Country team will travel to West Frankfort tomorrow.
The Carmi-White County Jr. High Baseball and Softball teams each picked up their 8th straight wins yesterday at Eldorado.
The Lady Bullpups won 5-0, the Bullpups won 6-5.
The Carmi-White County Girls Tennis team will be in action today as they will host Carbondale at Bradshaw Park.
