WROY/WRUL Local Sports Recap

Back on Friday the Carmi-White County Football team fell to Johnston City on the road by a final score of 24-14.

The Bulldogs marched down and scored on their opening possession on a 2-yard touchdown run by Branson Burnett.

After the Indians answered with a touchdown drive of their own, the Bulldogs responded by reclaiming the lead on a 5-yard touchdown pass from Dakota Brown to Lex Day, giving the Dogs a 14-8 halftime lead.

However, it would not be enough for the reigning BDC champions. JC would go on to score 16 unanswered in the second half to win their 19th consecutive Black Diamond Conference game, and 7th straight over the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs were led in rushing by Dakota Brown with 66 yards on 12 carries.

Kyzen Edwards had 13 carries for 43 yards.
Jazz Duckworth went for 39 yards on 9 carries.
