Only three Carmi residents were offered plea deals in White County Court on Monday.
57-year-old Anthony Hogue was facing two charges stemming from an incident in June. Under the plea agreement, Hogue pled guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge.
He will spend two years on conditional discharge, pay a fine, and have no contact with the victim. A felony charge of aggravated battery of a child under 13 was dismissed.
Cassidie Smith entered into a plea deal and will serve two years on court supervision and pay court costs for her disorderly conduct charge.
Domestic battery was dismissed from Smith’s case.
Lastly, Gretchen Cruse pled guilty to manufacturing/possession of adulterants, otherwise known as defrauding a drug and alcohol screening test. She will spend two years on probation, pay fines, complete drug treatment, and complete a six-month stayed jail sentence.
