The Carmi-White County Softball team traveled to Benton yesterday for the IHSA Regional Quarterfinals. The Lady Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, but the game was postponed in the 3rd inning due to rain.
The game is scheduled to resume this afternoon at 3 PM in Benton. If the Lady Bulldogs hang on they will face Mt. Carmel in the Regional Semifinals tomorrow at Archie Brown Field.
The Carmi-White County Baseball team also traveled to Benton yesterday for a non-conference game. It was 0-0 in the bottom of the 1st inning when the game was called due to rain. The game will not be resumed.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to host Hamilton County this afternoon at Eckerle Park for their final home game of the year. Fans can watch and listen to today’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. First pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
The Carmi-White County Boys Tennis team was scheduled to travel to Fairfield yesterday for their last match of the regular season, but it was canceled due to rain. The Bulldogs will travel to Carbondale for the IHSA Sectionals on Friday.
