
Carmi Police arrived at a residence in Carmi on Saturday to arrest a 24-year-old Enfield man on a White County warrant.
Loren Phillips was arrested Saturday on a warrant for charges of Aggravated Battery and Battery related to an incident that occurred in April 2026.
Phillips was transported to the White County Jail, where he has been held until his First Appearance scheduled for Monday morning.

In a separate incident, a traffic stop on Sunday night in front of Carmi Family Dental resulted in the arrest of two Grayville residents.
Anthony Nold was arrested by Carmi Police for Operating a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Tammy Vessels, the passenger in the vehicle with Nold, is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Following their arrest, both Vessels and Nold were taken to the White County Jail and held until they can see a judge on Monday morning.
