A Carmi man is behind bars following his arrest Wednesday morning. It was just after 8am when Carmi Police arrested 54-year-old Daniel Harris at his Oak Street home. Authorities say they received a report in the early morning hours prompting the arrest. Harris is charged with Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Domestic Violence with he alleged victim being a 50-year-old female. A juvenile witness is also listed in the report. Harris remains behind bars as of Thursday morning awaiting an appearance before a judge.
