The Carmi-White County Junior High Golf team traveled to West Frankfort yesterday for the SIJHSAA regional, and it was a historic day for Hadley Williams.
Williams shot a 55 and became the first state qualifier the junior high program has ever had. She helped lead the Lady Bullpups to a 4th place finish out of 11 teams with a team score of 174.
Ramsay Coston added a 59, while Gabby Mullins and Claire Legg each came in with a 60.
Williams will now head to the SIJHSAA Girls State Tournament on Tuesday, May 12 at Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion.
On the boys side, the Bullpups wrapped up their season with a solid round, shooting a 149 and finishing 8th out of 15 teams.
Jett Bradshaw and Jude Pollard led the way with 48s, while Rowdy Hall and Bryant O’Daniel each shot 53.
