Miranda Kuykendall, a Crossville Village board member, was arrested Saturday just before 11 am.
In the police report, a White County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call of a domestic altercation at a residence in Crossville. When officers arrived, they advised that Kuykendall and her 12-year-old daughter had gotten into a physical altercation, and they were both taken to the police station for questioning.
At the station, the daughter described that her mother, Kuykendall, had grabbed her shoulder and thrown her to the ground because she did not allow someone into the house. The daughter said her mother also kicked her. When officers questioned Kuykendall, she admitted to pushing the child but claimed it was not hard enough to cause her to fall. Kuykendall also told officers that she had smacked and kicked her daughter.
Kuykendall was placed under arrest for Domestic Battery and taken to the White County Jail. She went before a judge on Monday morning, where she was released with an Arraignment date for June 8 at 9:30 am.
