Grayville Man Arrested on Alleged Unauthorized Video Recording at Road Ranger

A Grayville man is in court for a first appearance Tuesday after he was arrested Monday morning by local authorities.  Police Chief Mason Siegel was dispatched just before 11am to the Road Ranger in reference to a disturbance.  He says there, he was met by several employees and observed a man, later identified as 49-year-old Brian Allender trying to leave the storefront.  Siegel says a female employee stated while she was in the bathroom that Allender held his phone under the stall attempting to record her prompting Allender to allege that he’d deleted the videos.  With probable cause, Siegel says he placed Allender under arrest.  He’s been charged with Unauthorized Recording.  Police say they’ve seized Allender’s phone and are pursuing a search warrant for evidence.  While in custody, Allender allegedly provided the passcode to the device voluntarily.
