On Saturday, April 11, 2026 Jefferson Attendance Center will be sponsoring a Color Run in partnership with Huck’s. The run is to benefit students at Carmi – White County’s JAC. The Color Run is set to begin at about 8:30am and will affect Sycamore Street from 4th to County Road 1000 East and all intersecting streets, Stewart Street from Illinois to 1000 East and all intersecting streets.
As part of the JAC Color Run, there will be color stations set up along the route.
All streets intersecting the route will be blocked beginning at 8:30am until such time as it’s safe to allow normal vehicular traffic to resume according to Carmi PD.
All intersections will be manned with officers, Carmi Police Auxillary officers, and JAC volunteers who will assist in ensuring safety during the event. The public is encouraged to be aware of the temporary restriction of streets intersecting the run route and adjust travel plans accordingly.
