The Carmi-White County Baseball team defeated Lawrenceville yesterday afternoon by a final score of 10-1.
Hayden Sauls picked up the win for the Bulldogs on the mound, he pitched all seven innings and gave up just one run on three hits with 12 strikeouts.
Merick Millhorn and Maxon O’Daniel both hit their first home runs of the year.
The Bulldogs improve to 2-6 on the season. They are scheduled to travel to North Clay tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting.
The Carmi-White County Softball team fell to Mt. Vernon (IL) at home yesterday by a final score of 10-0.
Addi Elliott, Addi Courson, and Eva Attebury all picked up base hits in the loss.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 3-7 on the year. They will have the rest of the week off, their next game won’t be until next Monday when they host Crab Orchard.
