Carmi officers responded to a call for service just before 11pm Wednesday night and pulled over 21-year-old Sean Ackerman over near his home on Hillsdale. Ackerman was subsequently placed under arrest and is facing charges of DUI, Driving Under the Influence with a Blood Alcohol Content higher than .08, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Criminal Damage to Property, and also cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. After booking, Ackerman was released with a Notice to Appear. He’s due in court April 28th at 9:30.
