Get ready for Easter fun—it’s time to stock up on candy and plastic eggs as April 5 approaches!
To help you plan, we’ve gathered a list of local Easter egg hunts for your family to enjoy.
We’d also like to share that the White County Fairgrounds has not yet been rented for the traditional big community egg hunt—a first since COVID. But there’s still time for neighbors, businesses, and churches to come together and create a special event for everyone!
To date, there is only one hunt in Carmi: Wabash Senior Living will be hosting a hunt on Saturday, April 4, at 10 am.
Crossville Tiger Park will be having a big hunt on Saturday, April 4, at 11 am.
In Norris City, Ditney Ridge Baptist Church will have an Easter egg hunt for ages ranging from toddlers to fourth graders on Saturday, April 4, at 10 am.
McLeansboro residents will have a few options and might even be able to make all three. First up will be Dahlgren Baptist Church on Saturday, March 28. Activities, including games, crafts, face painting, and more, will begin at 9 am; a gospel will start at 10, and the hunt for candy will begin at 10:30 am. Then the next weekend, Saturday, April 4, the McLeansboro Kiwanis will start the morning off at 10 am with a big hunt on the Courthouse lawn; and last, the McLeansboro Elks will be hiding eggs at the Reservoir after the McLeansboro Kiwanis egg hunt.
Mill Shoals will have its hunt early this year. The Skillet Fork Rotary Club and Steph’s Coffee Shoppe will hold their Easter egg hunt on March 21 at 2 pm; if it rains, it will be on March 28 at the same time. The location is still pending.
We’re excited to keep updating this list as Easter gets closer. We’d love to include your community Easter Egg hunt—just email us, and we’ll happily add it!
