McLeansboro Police with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department placed 70-year-old Curtis Patterson behind bars late Friday night on an active Franklin County warrant. According to authorities, it was about 10:49pm when they witnessed him driving in McLeansboro, ID’d the man and confirmed he was wanted. A traffic stop resulted in Patterson being taken into custody without incident and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed contraband. Patterson was taken to jail in White County on the warrant and given additional notice to appear citations for Possession of Meth and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Patterson was sentenced in Hamilton County court to 8 years in prison and fined back in 2022 on meth charges. Since his arrest Friday night, he’s been released from jail.
