The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team fell to Eldorado last night at home by a final score of 53-34.
The Bulldogs ended the 1st half on a 10-0 run to cut Eldorado’s lead down to 22-21 heading into the locker room, but the Eagles would outscore Carmi 17-6 in the 3rd quarter and 14-7 in the 4th quarter to pull away with the win.
Merick Millhorn led the Bulldogs in scoring with 13 points.
Hayden Sauls scored 8.
Dylan Winerberger scored 6.
Kyzen Edwards scored 4.
Jaxon Bradshaw scored 3.
The Bulldogs fall to 2-19 on the year and 1-7 in the Black Diamond Conference. Carmi will travel to Hamilton County on Friday before hosting Wayne City on Saturday.
The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will wrap up their regular season tomorrow as they travel to Woodlawn. The Lady Bulldogs are 16-10 on the year as they finished 6-4 in BDC play.
Carmi will then begin regional play on Saturday as they host Eldorado in the IHSA Regional Quarterfinals at 6 PM. If the Lady Bulldogs win on Saturday, they will face Harrisburg in the Regional Semifinals on Monday in Eldorado.
