Cold Shooting Night Plagues Bulldogs in Loss to Lions

The Carmi-White County Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm offensively Tuesday night, falling to Edwards County 51-32 at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium.

Carmi found themselves playing from behind early, trailing 15-10 at the end of the first quarter. Edwards County extended its lead in the second, sending the Bulldogs into halftime down 28-15. Carmi showed some fight coming out of the break but still trailed 40-25 heading into the fourth quarter as the Lions pulled away for the win.

The Bulldogs had difficulty getting shots to fall from the outside, finishing just 3-for-26 from three-point range. Despite the tough shooting night, Carmi continued to compete throughout the contest but was unable to close the gap.

Jaxon Bradshaw led Carmi-White County in scoring with nine points, while Hayden Sauls added eight. Merick Millhorn chipped in six points, and both Lex Day and Dylan Winerberger finished with three apiece. Carson Miller contributed two points, and Kyzen Edwards added one.

With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 2-17 overall and 1-5 in the Black Diamond Conference.
