The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team defeated Eldorado last night by a final score of 51-12.
Addi Elliott led Carmi in scoring with 16 points.
Caroline Simmons scored 11.
Ella Newell and Torrie Rider scored 8.
Jaya Smith and Eva Attebury each scored 4.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 13-4 on the year and 5-1 in the Black Diamond Conference. Carmi will take on Eldorado again tomorrow in the opening round of the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic. If the Lady Bulldogs win tomorrow, they will face either Vienna or Hamilton County in the semifinals on Monday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will host Fairfield tonight for a Black Diamond Conference matchup at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs come into tonight’s game with a 1-12 record and 1-3 record in the BDC.
Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Varsity will tip-off around 7:30 PM.
The 46th Annual Carmi-White County Invitational Tournament will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of next week. The four participating teams this year are Carmi, Fairfield, Mt. Vernon (IN), and Harrisburg.
Carmi will play Mt. Vernon on Monday, Fairfield on Wednesday, and Harrisburg on Friday.
The Carmi-White County Wrestling team will be hosting a JV tournament tomorrow at Washington Attendance Center beginning at 9 AM. The Bulldogs will then be hosting a varsity tournament on Monday, also at WAC.
