The Carmi-White County Wrestling team traveled to Herrin last night, and the Bulldogs fell by a final score of 53-27.
Dylan Combs and Laeden Vargas both pinned their opponents.
Caleb King and Jazz Duckworth each received forfeits. 

The Bulldog Wrestlers will hit the road again this evening as they travel to Johnston City for a BDC Battle with the Indians.

The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team will play their first game of 2026 tomorrow night when they travel to Edwards County for a battle of the two top teams in the Black Diamond. 

Carmi comes in with an 11-2 record and 4-0 record in the BDC. Edwards County is 12-5 with a 3-0 BDC record. The winner of tomorrow’s game will have sole possession of 1st Place in the conference standings.

Fans can watch and listen to tomorrow’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Varsity will tip-off around 7:30 PM.

The Lady Bulldogs will then be back in action on Saturday as they host Harrisburg for their first home game of the new year. 

The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will travel to Eldorado on Friday for a Black Diamond Conference matchup. The Bulldogs enter Friday’s contest with a 1-10 record after going 0-2 in the Eldorado Holiday Tournament at the end of December. 

Southeastern Illinois College will be hosting Carmi-White County Night on Monday as the SIC Men’s Basketball team takes on Missouri Baptist. CWCHS students will receive free admission, and Carmi fans are encouraged to wear maroon and white and cheer on former CWC Bulldog Mitchel Edwards and the Falcons.
