A Carmi woman is behind bars awaiting a hearing before a White County judge Tuesday morning. Carmi Police arrested 36-year-old Sarah Brewster of North Main Cross at her residence Monday evening. Authorities say they were called to the home in reference to a dispute just after 10pm. Brewster was taken into custody on a charge of Domestic Battery; the alleged victim a 30-year-old male.
