Jan. 19 – SIC will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Jan. 20 – 7 p.m. – SIC Falcons Basketball takes on St. Louis Community College at SIC’s Joseph C. Deaton Gym. For the full schedule, visit sic.edu/basketball.
Jan. 20 – 6 p.m. –The SIC Board of Trustees meeting will be held in the Rodney J. Brenner Board Room.
Jan. 24 & 31 – 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – AHA Basic Life Support Certification classes will be held at SIC in Harrisburg in room T224. These classes are open to the public and cover CPR training. To register, email [email protected] or call 618-25-5400, ext. 4130.
Jan. 24 – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – The ServSafe Food Manager Course for food service sanitation certification or recertification will be held on SIC’s Harrisburg campus in room G116. This course is completed in one day. The in-district cost is $121 and includes the exam given during the class. To register, call 618-252-5400 ext. 4120.
Jan. 24 – 1 p.m. – Southeastern Illinois College will host its first annual Alumni Day, beginning with the Falcons Basketball game vs. Brescia University in Deaton Gym. All alumni receive free admission beginning at 1 p.m. and a free SIC Alumni T-shirt while supplies last. Alumni members of SIC athletics and competitive teams will be recognized during halftime. A Homecoming reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Student Center cafeteria.
Jan. 28 – 1-4 p.m. – SIC’s Carmi Center will host a Bob Ross-inspired painting class under the guidance of instructor, Bradley Mullings. You’ll learn new techniques and take home your work the same day. No experience required. This class is perfect for beginners aged 18 and up. Space is limited. Register in person at SIC’s Carmi Center. $15 for the class plus $40 for your supplies directly to the instructor.
Feb. 1 – 3 p.m. – SIC Falcons Basketball takes on Community College at Detroit at SIC’s Joseph C. Deaton Gym. For the full schedule, visit sic.edu/basketball.
Feb. 4 – 10 a.m. – The Southern Illinois Storytellers series continues at SIC’s Learning Commons with a book signing by G.E.B. Shelton, author of “Oh Wait; That Was NEVER Me!”. Feb. 14 – 5:30-10 p.m. – SIC Foundation and Ferrell Hospital present Dueling Pianos: Concert for a Cause featuring the world-famous Howl at the Moon in SIC’s Deaton Gym.
