Oct. 30 & Nov. 6 – 12:20-1:20 p.m. – The B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers and Sisters In Christ) Club will meet in room B106 at SIC. This student-led group is dedicated to faith, fellowship, and personal growth. Nov. 1 – 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Nov. 2 – 10 a.m.-4 p.m. – SIC hosts the 47th annual Heritage Festival on the Harrisburg campus. Over 75 vendors selling arts, crafts, food, and more. Admission is a $1.00 donation to Freddie’s Food Pantry. Parking is free and handicapped parking is available. Nov. 6 – 1:30 p.m. – The Bring Your Own Book Group will meet in the Learning Commons at SIC. The group meets the first Thursday of each month and is open to students, faculty, and staff. Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. – SIC will welcome and honor local veterans at the annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony in the SIC George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Lobby. All veterans, students, employees, and community members are invited to attend this free event. Some ceremonial events include the Color Guard from Eldorado VFW Post 3479, the laying of the wreath by the Michael Hillegas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and musical performances. Nov. 11 – SIC will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

Nov. 13 – 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. – SIC will host a CTE Spotlight Day for high school students. Programs to be featured include Agriculture, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Diesel Technology, Information Technology, Outfitter Wildlife Management, PowerSports Technology, Truck Driving, and Welding Technology. Nov. 15 – 8 a.m.-12 p.m. or 12:30-4:30 p.m. – BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification classes will be held at SIC in room T224. These one-day, 4-hour classes are open to the public and cover CPR training. Participants will complete a 25-question exam and receive a certification card.
