Special to WROY/WRUL News from the Carmi Chamber of Commerce:
The Christmas season in White County continues to grow brighter each year, with celebrations expanding throughout the entire county. What began as community traditions in Carmi has blossomed into a countywide showcase of holiday cheer, with businesses, organizations, and residents coming together to spread joy and light across our towns.
From Carmi to Crossville, Norris City to Grayville, each community is hosting festive parades and holiday events—thankfully on different days—so families can experience the magic of Christmas several times throughout the season. These events not only bring people together but also encourage shopping local, dining at hometown restaurants, and supporting the businesses that keep our local economy strong.
The Carmi Chamber loves seeing the collaboration and spirit that make White County so special. As holiday festivities continue to grow across the area, it no longer feels right to call Carmi’s celebration “It’s a White County Christmas”—because truly, it belongs to all of White County.
This year, Christmas in Carmi will proudly be part of “It’s a White County Christmas,” alongside other beloved traditions such as Winterfest in Crossville and Christmas in the Village of Norris City. The Carmi Chamber of Commerce encourages these communities hosting holiday events to use the “It’s a White County Christmas” logo, uniting our celebrations.
We invite everyone to celebrate the season across our towns—enjoying the lights, laughter, and local hospitality that make this time of year so special.
Christmas in Carmi will kick off with the Miss Merry Christmas pageant on Saturday, November 15th. The Lighted Parade, Shopping Stroll and more holiday events will be held on Saturday, November 29th.
