A Carmi man allegedly driving on a suspended Kentucky drivers license was jailed shortly before being released late Friday. A report from the White County Sheriffs Department indicates an officer observed 21-year-old Bryce Davis get into his 2018 Kia Optima at Rock Bottom, leave the liquor store and travel to McDonalds. Following his transaction there, the officer would leave the fast food eatery without stopping prompting a stop at Hucks. While Davis was able to provide a valid photo ID for Illinois, the officer states Davis indeed was driving on a suspended Kentucky license. The vehicle was towed and Davis was taken to jail, booked, and subsequently released seconds prior to midnight. Davis is due in court on the charge November 18th at 9am.
