A Carmi man is back behind bars and has additional charges added to his name.
White County Probation notified the White County Sheriff’s Office that Adam Bratcher was in their office for a drug test; the officer knew Bratcher had an active arrest warrant for Theft and Deceptive Practice.
Once the officer arrived, Probation explained that they found a device on Bratcher. The device, which people use to assist them in evading a drug detection through a urine test, was found on Bratcher.
The officer confirmed the warrant through dispatch, and Bratcher was taken to the White County Jail for the warrant and two new charges: Attempt to Defraud a Drug Screening and Violation of Probation.
Bratcher went before a judge on Thursday morning and was given a Preliminary Hearing set for October 8 at 10 am.
