Carmi Police arrested 38-year-old Nicholas Fessel after 11pm Wednesday night. Fessel, with addresses listed as Olney and Fairfield, was the passenger in a traffic stop and was allegedly found in possession of meth. Additionally, Fessel is charged with Unlawful Use of Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance, all three felony charges. Furthermore, Fessel received a misdemeanor charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and he was wanted on a Criminal Misdemeanor Wayne County warrant. The driver was released from the scene but given a written warning for the probable cause that led to the traffic stop.
