Two White County warrants were the cause of the arrest of 32-year-old Kyle Puckett. One warrant holds two charges: Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of Burglary Tools. The other warrant is for the crime of Criminal Damage to Property. A Preliminary Hearing is set for August 8 at 10 am.

A little before 8:30 pm Friday, Carmi Police swiftly arrested two individuals at Rock Bottom. McLeansboro residents, 21-year-old Anthony Burgos and 36-year-old Natasha Gesick, were both arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. Burgos, however, received additional charges and one citation: Driving While License Revoked, Operation of a Vehicle when Registration is Suspended, and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Both Gesick and Burgos were given Notice to Appear and released from the White County Jail.


Early Saturday morning, a Carmi man was placed under arrest at a residence on Second Street for a warrant out of Montgomery County. Joshua Walker was taken into custody, but not before he added additional charges to his record, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer.

Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop on Sunday on a Silver Ford Flex due to the plates not matching the vehicle. Belle Rive native Geannie Davis was arrested for Unlawful Display of Registration. Davis was transported to the White County Jail and was later released with a Notice to Appear.
