
A Wayne County man is behind bars in the White County Jail after McLeansboro Police made an arrest Friday evening. Officers pulled over 20-year-old Isaiah Deem of Rinard in a Chrysler van for driving with an expired registration about 9:40pm. He was subsequently found to be wanted on six warrants out of Clay, Hamilton, and White County according to police. Online court records don’t show anything current for Deem in Clay County. In Hamilton County, he failed to appear in December of 2024 in relation to Methamphetamine and traffic related charges. In White County, Deem was arrested in June of last year.

In October of last year, Deem agreed to a plea deal in White County resulting in a guilty plea to the Possession of Meth charge. Five other charges were dismissed as per the plea deal and judgement included 2 years of probation, a fine, 30 hours of community service, drug treatment, and a 6 month stayed jail sentence. McLeansboro Police say during the search of the van, they recovered methamphetamine but didn’t disclose the amount.
