Carmi Police are urging the public to be vigilant after a Carmi teenager says an older man in a silverish/gray SUV approached her and potentially solicited a sex act. The intended victim says she was invited into his vehicle and told she would be paid for giving him a massage. The incident happened near the 600 block of 6th Street. Authorities then checked with neighbors and say the same man has approached other females in the area and some believe the man has been watching children. A complaint for Disorderly Conduct and Solicitation of a Sexual Act were signed. Witnesses believe the license plate on the vehicle is PAW36. An area residents home security system captured what law enforcement suspect is a photo of the perpetrator’s vehicle.
