Melvin L. Lewis, Jr., 25, of Crossville was stopped by Crossville Police at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night on Route 1 south of town. He was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. During a search of the vehicle a meth pipe, digital scales, straws, corner baggies and a dime bag, all with white powder residue, were found. Lewis was additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the White County Jail pending bond being set by a judge.
